Of course, they got back together again, but realistically I struggle to see how long a relationship like that would last. After all their discussions and getting to know each other and being there for each other, she just noped right out. Because the second she let Will help her and her family, she decided she needed to break up with him because no one should EVER see that. Even after finding out about her past and realizing why she did what she did, I still struggled. I get the dramatic art of a big reveal and keeping the reader guessing… But I genuinely just did not like Tia and could not get behind her. I would have liked to know about her past (her dysfunctional family, drug addicted and now dead mother, and sisters’ multiple failed relationships with abusive men) much sooner into the book. We didn’t really find out what made Tia tick until maybe a third of the book was left. I didn’t like her attitude and she made me feel very “meh” about the book for a good portion. The idea of the series really interested me. I picked this book up, kind of on a whim, at my library in April when I was primarily reading YA for the month. I’m excited to read the next two books and find out more about Kaye and Harper.

I wish I knew more about Tia earlier in the novel, but I enjoyed getting to know what made her tick eventually.

I stopped caring about the former and grew to love the latter. That’s cold and I’m Canadian) and the main character Tia. I had some problems with it in the form of the authors clear lack of knowledge about what the climate is like in Minnesota (I’m sorry, no one is calling anything below freezing “cool”. The flirting between Tia and Will was super cute. Originally I was thinking that this was the only book from the Superlatives series that I would read, but I just finished this book and I’ve impulsively checked the next two out at my library.
